Baby Groot Sculpt by CadmiumCrab
Baby Groot Sculpt
I've been meaning to make this for a long time, but I've just finally gotten around to it. Lil' Groot is made of super sculpey and painted with acrylics. His little pot stands 1 inch tall and is filled with rocks that are glued into place, making him quite sturdy. I finished him with some accents of artificial moss. Overall, Groot is 5 inches tall.

Baby Groots will be available at Katsucon and other conventions this year. Come visit the DorkSpork table to get him!

Light-Up Zecora Sculpt by CadmiumCrab
Light-Up Zecora Sculpt
Another successful light up piece with a switch!

Zecora is made of apoxie sculpt and super sculpey over a wire and foil armature, painted with acrylics, and sealed with matte acrylic spray. Height-wise, Zecora stands a little over 7 1/2 inches including the base. She has a 3V LED in her staff.

Zecora is currently available for sale, $110 with free shipping in the US (or add $10 for outside the US). Drop a note!

Kotoricon Mascot Charms by CadmiumCrab
Kotoricon Mascot Charms
These little guys were made for the Kotoricon charity auction and depict their mascots from the past few years, as well as this year's purple planetary theme.

They're make of sculpey and sealed with gloss sculpey glaze. They're about 3/4 of an inch around. Currently they're strapless, but will be given color coordinating straps and boxed up all pretty before going off to auction.

Kotoricon is an awesome little con in south NJ, I highly encourage any area anime fans to check them out! (and not just because DorkSpork vends there regularly)

So I've been maintaining some radio silence as of the last few months, but I've been getting my motivational mojo back and will be posting some new stuff.

Commissions will be closed for an indefinite period of time, mostly because I'm so bad at filling them. I will be offering completed pieces for sale as I post them.

Happy 2015, let's get creating.

Flame Princess Light-Up Sculpt by CadmiumCrab
Flame Princess Light-Up Sculpt
This is something I've wanted to make for a long time and am finally confident enough in my (minimal) electrical wiring skills to pull off.

Flame Princess is fully hand sculpted with sculpey and apoxie sculpt over a foil armature. She has a single 3V LED that is wired to a switch in the bottom. Phoebe is painted with acrylics and sealed with a matte acrylic spray. She stands around 7 inches tall.

She is currently up for sale, $95 with free shipping within the US (+$10 for international shipping). Drop me a note!

Hello to anyone who cares enough to read this and thanks for stumbling upon my little piece of the internet!

I'm mainly a traditional fine artist, well versed in a wide variety of mediums (oil paint, watercolor, acrylic, printmaking, traditional photography, stained glass, mosaic, wood carving, sculpting, etc). I'm also a lifelong crafter working mainly in clay and some crocheting. I'm also starting to learn needlefelting, because I obviously don't have enough to occupy my time.

I also have a group, Dork Out With Your Spork Out (dorkoutsporkout.deviantart.com…. My friend Carrie and I started a small nerd themed arts and crafts business. If you want to see us in person (because really, who would miss such an opportunity?), that's how we represent ourselves when we go to conventions and such.

You have earned a Watch, you deserve it, but beware, it grants great power but also corrupts the user.

Do you think you might make a tutorial for how you sculpt your ponies?

I've never been able to get organized enough to do a proper tutorial, but I do panel presentations at brony conventions about sculpting.
